Get ready for March camps from our HomeLearners Network program that will excite and inspire! Help your children get creative with Sticker Book Camp, Claymation Camp and Elements Art Camp, and learn some exciting new video game design skills in Video Game Design Level 2 and 3D Survival Game.

Camps take place over multiple consecutive sessions and are led by passionate guides aka educators!

 


Video Game Design Level 2 with UME Academy: March 4-8 

    • Ages 7-12

Your child will continue building on the games they made participating in the Level 1 camp! They’ll continue building their game design skills in Unity through engaging, challenge-based lessons and projects. They’ll learn with their peers while giving and receiving feedback and playing each other’s games. (They must have completed Video Game Design Level 1 to take this camp.)

3D Survival Game Design with UME Academy: March 11-15

    • Ages 7-12

Your child will create their own 3D survival game using the Unity3D game engine. They’ll learn the fundamentals of game design while building a playable 3D survival game, including core tools and the interface of Unity, modelling terrain and creating structures, configuring and balancing game objects like enemies and rewards, and collaborating with peers through feedback and playtesting.

Sticker Book Camp with Amber: March 19-21

    • Ages 8-10

If your child loves stickers, this camp is for them! We’ll make handmade stickers using paper, wax paper, tape and their favourite art supplies. Then they’ll learn how to hand bind a sticker book, add their own sticker collection and mix ‘em in with the stickers they made.

Elements Art Camp with Amber: March 19-21

    • Ages 9-12

Your child will explore the elements of air, earth, fire and water, and how each element can influence and shape their art-making. They’ll learn about how the elements have had significant cultural meaning for many peoples throughout history, time and geography! Delve into watercolours, make a mobile and use items from nature to create unique tools and textures in art.

Claymation Camp with Alecyn: March 19-21

    • Ages 7-12

Children will have fun practicing the skills needed to make their own claymation movie. They’ll make clay characters, build dioramas, explore concepts of lighting and photography, and practice using digital software to bring their story to life.
