Summer is flying by, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had before fall schedules start!

Our August camps are packed with creativity, imagination, and hands-on learning. Kids can dive into exciting writing and painting activities or explore and create with apps like ScratchJr, Bloxels and Minecraft. It’s the perfect way to make the most of the last weeks of summer.

Can’t fit a full week of camp into your schedule? No problem! We also offer individual activities, giving children a flexible way to join the fun and try something new.

Writing A Storybook: August 10, 11, 12 + 13

    • Ages 7-10

Kids will write a special storybook, create amazing characters and learn to use figurative language and rhyme to make stories come alive.

Summer Write-In!: August 10, 11, 12 + 13

    • Ages 11-13

Join us for an exciting summer intensive writing camp! This week-long camp will guide writers through building an idea into a story, developing characters and giving them time to share their writing with peers.

Bloxels Game Designer Camp: August 10, 11, 12 + 13

    • Ages 8-12

Kids will learn how to design characters, build levels and bring their stories to life through hands-on digital creation. Guided step-by-step, they’ll explore the fundamentals of storytelling, coding logic and visual design and make a video game – powered by their imagination!

Plein-Air Painting Camp: August 10, 11, 12 + 13

    • Ages 6-9

Get outside and paint! Kids will learn about famous Canadian plein-air painters, including the Group of Seven. We’ll work on a new painting each day inspired by nature and explore different watercolour techniques.

    • Ages 5-7

Dive into the world of ScratchJr and learn how to code your own games! From mazes to races, we will work together to create interactive and fun games that can be played over and over again.

    • Ages 5-7

We’ll explore ScratchJr and learn the basics of coding through storytelling. Kids will discover how to plan a story, design characters and bring their ideas to life with simple block-based code.

Explore new Minecraft worlds to work on important literacy skills. We will read stories, learn about the important components of a story and create and bring our very own stories to life!

Kids will explore art-themed Minecraft Education worlds and express their creativity through pixel art, sculpture and patterns. As we build stunning visual creations, we’ll also learn key art concepts and collaborate to design amazing masterpieces.
