Four learners came together to spearhead development of SelfDesign’s first-ever official Commencement Scrapbook. Drawing on the tradition of the highschool yearbook, the scrapbook provides each commencing learner with a collection of memories created by and for their peers.

Meet Jessica and Lacey, the two learners whose designs appear on SelfDesign’s own Orange Shirt Day t-shirts. Learners were invited to submit designs for an Orange Shirt Day t-shirt, and all SelfDesign learners were then invited to vote on the designs.
On May 17th, we recognized and celebrated International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOT) to uplift our LGBTQ2S+ community members. For this Pride month, we are sharing quotes from Gender Sexual Orientation Alliance (GSA) learners about how to support LGBTQ2S+ communities and individuals.
