Kick off 2026 with a burst of creativity and fresh inspiration! January’s lineup of HomeLearners Network activities is designed to help your kids try something new, grow their confidence and explore the topics that naturally spark their curiosity.

Each session is hands-on and crafted to meet young learners exactly where they’re at, whether that means building their first Minecraft mission, diving into French cuisine and culture or uncovering how clouds shape our weather.

From art and science to crafting, storytelling, politics and digital design, these activities turn everyday interests into meaningful learning experiences. It’s a month full of opportunities for your child to experiment and discover new passions that might surprise even them.

    • Ages 8-10

Your kiddo will love learning French words, dishes and culture! They’ll discover food vocabulary, practice asking and answering questions, and explore real dishes through games and songs!

    • Ages 8-14

Your kid will time-travel to 19th-century France and discover art and music in the French Salon! They’ll explore famous French works of art for inspiration, enjoy French composers and learn French expressions!

🌎 Who Runs the World with Alecyn and Jenn: January 6 (7 sessions)

    • Ages 10-13

Your kid will love creating a fictional country while learning about politics and governance. They’ll determine their country’s values and laws, form political parties and hold a mock election!

    • Ages 8-18

Your kid will use mending and embroidery techniques to transform their clothing. Using mending, embroidery and painting or drawing on clothing items to make them more personalized, they’ll bring new life to old pieces!

    • Ages 8-10

Your kiddo will use scrap fabric and craft supplies to tell a winter animal story with finger puppets and an applique background!

    • Ages 8-13
