Live offerings are designed to enrich and supplement learning across SelfDesign Learning Community’s kindergarten to grade 12 program, and offer ways for our community to come together to build relationships. We offer a diverse array of live opportunities that are facilitated by various groups and individuals from across the organization. Look for event offerings like seasonal Learner Showcases, and other events hosted by our Indigenous educators, Gender Sexual Orientation Alliance, Learner Council and Educational Program Team.

Theme real-time meetings
From grades 6 to 12, learners are invited to attend theme-focused real-time meetings that allow learners the opportunity to explore topics of interest and grow a sense of community amongst their peers in a safe and engaging online format. Theme real-time meetings remain optional throughout grades 6 to 12 but are strongly encouraged as they build camaraderie and community spirit among SelfDesign’s youth.

Open Spaces
Open Spaces is a weekly Live Offering for learners K-12 and is offered into three grade categories, K-3, 4-7, 8-12. It is a casual space for learners to gather and generate their own interest groups with the use of breakout rooms to support learner-driven gatherings based around common interests and offerings.
