HELLO and Welcome to SelfDesign!

SelfDesign is a learner-directed, enthusiasm-based educational methodology supporting learners, families and learning consultants. At its core, SelfDesign seeks to co-inspire wonder, joy and integrity in all learning experiences and relationships. Our various programs - accessible through the links below - enable authentic self-discovery and reflect respect for the rights of all learners, young and old, to assume responsibility for the own learning paths. SelfDesign is also the name we have chosen for many of our different learning programs.
Now in its 26th year of operation*, SelfDesign has positively influenced the lives of thousands of children, youth, parents and educators in BC and around the world. (* We are presently changing the official name of our parent organization from 'Wondertree' to SelfDesign. Wondertree Foundation was registered in Biritish Columbia Canada in 1984).

For the 2009-10 school year, SelfDesign Learning Community is offering:

• the opportunity for families and learners (born 1995-2004) to receive individualized support from one of our 60-plus Learning Consultants (all BC-certified teachers),
• access to our unique, online learning community, The Village of Conversations the hub of our learning community featuring numerous learning-focused conferences,
• specialized mentors in our learning Village,
• support to families in procuring individualized learning resources and services
• Special Education support
• new insights into learning beyond the paradigm of schooling
• a community of ongiong co-Inspirational learning conversations that deepen and enrich the learning process for everyone
